Summer of Donizetti and Verdi

On the heels of Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Riccardo Frizza leads Donizetti’s rarely performed Linda di Chamounix at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. The production features Jessica Pratt in the title role, Ketevan Kemoklidze as Pierrotto, Ismael Jordi and Giulio Pelligra alternating the role of Carlo, and Roberto De Candida as Antonio. Performances of Linda di Chamounix, a co-production with Gran Teatre del Liceu, run from June 17 to June 28 at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome.

In July, the Italian maestro returns to the Macerata Opera Festival to open their summer season with Otello. Stuart Neill, Jessica Nuccio, Roberto Frontali and Davide Giusti perform Verdi’s penultimate work on July 22, 30, and August 5 and 13.
