On 4th January, I will conduct the first New Year Concert at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, an extraordinary event that will not only feature the Liceu orchestra but also that of La Fenice on stage.

I’m ending my opera year conducting not one, but two firsts for the Teatro di San Carlo. On 6th December, the prestigious Neapolitan theatre is opening its new season with an opera that revolves around a legend and which,
