This spring, Maestro Riccardo Frizza leads three productions of Italian masters, beginning with Verdi’s Luisa Miller at Opernhaus Zurich on April 12, followed by Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’amore at Teatro La Fenice on April 20.

May brings Bellini’s Norma also at the historic Venice theater, opening the 13th with additional performances on May 16 and 19.

Adding to Riccardo Frizza’s 2018-19 season, Dallas Opera has announced their production of Verdi’s Falstaff, opening in April of 2019. Maestro Frizza takes the podium to lead a stellar cast that includes bass-baritone Mark Delavan as the titular comic knight, Angela Meade as Alice Ford, Quinn Kelsey as Ford, and Stephanie Blythe as Quickly. To round out the production, Mojca Erdmann sings Nanetta, and Airam Hernández performs the role of Fenton.

Falstaff opens on April 26, with additional performances April 28; May 1, and 4, 2019.
