This October, Riccardo Frizza visits the Festival Verdi for a production of Falstaff. Maestro Frizza leads the opera at the Teatro Regio di Parma, in Verdi’s adoptive hometown.

Roberto de Candia and Mikheil Kiria alternate the title role, with Giorgio Caoduro as Ford, Amarilli Nizza as his wife, Damiana Mizzi as their daughter Nannetta, and Sonia Prina as Quickly. Directed by Jacopo Pirei, Falstaff opens on October 1 and runs through October 22.

Returning to the famed Arena Sferisterio in Macerata, Riccardo Frizza leads Francesco Micheli’s production of Aida, opening on July 30. Liana Aleksanyan stars as Verdi’s Ethiopian princess, alongside Anna Maria Chiuri as Amneris, Stefano La Colla as Radamès, Stefano Meo as Amonasro, Giacomo singing the role of Ramfis, Christian Saitta as the King of Egypt, and Enrico Cossutta as a messenger.

Aida returns to the stage on August 5, with additional performances August 11 and 14.
