Mozart and Mahler with Orchestra Filarmonica della Fenice


On April 10, Riccardo Frizza leads the Orchestra Filarmonica della Fenice for a concert of Mozart and Mahler at Teatro Grande. The Brescia native conducts Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A Major with soloist Alessandro Carbonare. The program also features Mahler’s Symphony No. 1.

Following this special concert, Maestro Frizza will return to Venice to lead Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor at Teatro La Fenice.

Rigoletto at Gran Teatre del Liceu


This month, Riccardo Frizza returns to Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu to conducts Verdi’s Rigoletto. Maestro Frizza leads a cast that includes Javier Camarena and Antonino Siragusa as the Duke of Mantua, both making their role debut, Carlos Álvarez, Àngel Òdena and Leo Nucci alternating the title role, and Désirée Rancatore and María José Moreno as Gilda.

Rigoletto, a co-production of the Gran Teatre del Liceu and Teatro Real, opens March 21, with subsequent performances on March 22, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30; April 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6.
