Explore Lucia di Lammermoor at Opéra National de Paris


Discover Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, opening October 14 at Opéra National de Paris, in a podcast released in partnership with France Musique. Go behind the scenes and learn more about history of the story of Lucia, based on Sir Walter Scott’s novel The Bride of Lammermoor.

Riccardo Frizza leads Andrei Serban’s production from October 14 to November 16, which features performances by Pretty Yende and Nina Minasyan alternating the role of the title character, Artur Rucinski as Enrico, and Piero Pretti and Rame Lahaj performing the role of Edgardo.

Lucia di Lammermoor to open at Opéra National de Paris


Riccardo Frizza opens the 2016-17 season with his return to Donizetti’s masterpiece Lucia di Lammermoor at Opéra National de Paris. The Italian maestro leads a stunning cast with Pretty Yende and Nina Minasyan alternating the role of Lucia, Artur Rucinski as Enrico, Piero Pretti and Rame Lahaj alternating the role of Edgardo, and Oleksiy Palchykov as Arturo and Rafal Siwek as Raimondo. The production is directed by Andrei Serban and opens on October 14, with additional performances October 17, 23, 26, 29 and November 4, 8, 11, 14, and 16.

Riccardo Frizza previously led Lucia di Lammermoor at Teatro Massimo de Palermo and will lead another staging at Teatro la Fenice in April.
