This past winter, Riccardo Frizza led a new production of Norma to the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and returned to the Metropolitan Opera for Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda. In addition to his activities at the podium, the Italian conductor led a masterclass with singers from Bare Opera, an alternative opera company in New York City, and spoke to music historian Harvey Sachs at the Italian Cultural Institute of New York.
